JINGORO Komodaru housousyu

じんごろう こもだるほうそうしゅ / JINGOROU Komodaru housousyu

Futsu

This sake bottle is wrapped in traditional mushiro (rush weaving). It boasts a moderate aroma and smooth flavor, with a soft feel to the throat. One will be charmed by the way the sweetness of rice gradually fills one's mouth. Crisp if served chilled, and rice umami expands if served heated. It can be paired with a wide variety of dishes.

Sake vessels

A bowl-shaped sake cup is recommended to bring out the sake's umami and sweetness. Earthenware and porcelain cups match well, too.

Food pairing

The sake is slightly on the sweeter side, so it matches well with white fish like iwana (whitespotted char) and sashimi.
It won't be overpowered by umami-filled dishes or boldly flavored dishes either. Don't think too hard and give it a try whenever you're in the mood.
